Have you ever seen a mustard seed? It’s pretty small. Yet Jesus said that if your faith was even that size, it would be all you need to move mountains! That begs the question then, “Surely we’ve had that size or level of faith at some stage in our lives?”
C’mon mustard seed sized faith? I’ve been a Believer for over thirty-five years! There’s no way I’ve not had faith even that small. Is there?
You might be wondering the very same thing. Great news! I have Heaven’s response to these ponderings! This might be the most life changing revelation you will encounter today, and its so absurdly simple that it very well might explain why it is so easy for children to believe something – even if it is illogical.
Those of us who have young children, (or those who have had a conversation with a child) can attest that most kids believe things without the requirement for empirical evidence! Their belief is all the evidence they need to determine an actuality.
In truth, a child’s imagination often determines what they believe as real! As little children grow and we educate them according to a rigid philosophy of systematic analytics, they shed their childlike approach and adopt the conformity of modern rationalism. Yet the Jesus emphatically said, “Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Selah!
Location! Location! Location!
Over the past three weeks, the Spirit began to challenge my thirty-five year old Christian mindset about the mustard seed faith concept with just a simple, probing, provoking question whispered to me one morning: “Where is your mustard seed faith located?”
You might think that the answer to this is obvious and that your own response would automatically be (as was mine), “Why in my heart of course!” But is it really?
If we were not disingenuous and could be completely honest with ourselves – then would this faith not be evidenced by news reports of mountains being teleported into the oceans? Okay, excuse the exaggeration! But you no doubt comprehend what I’m conveying through the hyperbole. Every challenge we ever faced, every obstacle in your path, every stronghold in your life would stand no chance against you!
So where is the evidence to the reflex response, “Why in my heart of course!”?
I put it to you that for the majority of us, mustard seed faith is located in our headspace and not our heartspace and that is why we are not receiving reports of flying mountains!!
But that can change. And it can change right now! Are you ready to take a quantum leap in your spiritual life?
translocate | ˈtranslə(ʊ)keɪt, trɑːns-, nz- |
verb [with object] chiefly technical
∙move from one place to another
What is ‘the Heart’?
The Scripture records in the eleventh chapter of the book of Matthew, the twenty-second verse: Have faith in God. It goes on to admonish us to not entertain any doubt in our heart!
The heartspace is designed by God to be the seat of your SQ – your spiritual intelligence. It is the place from which faith derives its force! It is the place of the union of the soul of man and the spirit of man. The space into which the Spirit of the Living God takes up residence.
This intersection is without volume or constraint. It is infinitesimally infinite. It is a spiritual “Gravity Well” and the greater your proximity to the Throne of God, the greater the spiritual gravity that you host. It is a fragment of Eternity in the hearts of men and women. Time does not exist. Natural Laws do not apply.
It is what the New Testament apostles refer to as Templum Dei – the Temple of God. And God chooses to inhabit it – in you!
This is why unbelief is a sin on the scales of Divine Justice according to the Scriptures. Unbelief defiles the Temple. Jesus said to not let doubt take any residence in your heart. Why did He say this? Because the holy and the profane cannot co-exist!
Have faith in God. Do not allow doubt to have a place in your heartspace.
Doubt Paralyses Faith
But how does doubt even enter into the heart of man? Through fear and anxiety! Doubt is the parasite of your fear. It feeds off of it.
Fear and anxiety is psychological by definition – meaning it is of the mind. When you fear something it is because your intellect has assessed and validated an issue, or a situation, circumstance or entity as a threat that could harm you.
What you fear is then translocated from your head, by your mouth, and takes residence as doubt in your heart and becomes the kryptonite to the power of your faith.
When you say, “Oh! I’m so afraid of flying!” it takes root as doubt or unbelief! From this unbelief or doubt we then begin to prognosticate the future – again by the word of our mouths – which might take the shape of “Oh! I’m so afraid of flying, I don’t think I’ll ever experience air travel.” Guess what? You just created your future!
Faith Protocols: It all starts off as Hope!
Hope is a powerful force – but it is not faith! I would postulate that most Christians often confuse hope for faith! Hope is always future oriented. Faith is the substance but hope is the anticipation. They are closely related concepts but not the same thing! Hope is future. Faith is now!
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things invisible.
Hope exists, and rightly so, in your soul. It is born of your mind, your will and your emotions. 1 These 5:8 says “… putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.“
A breastplate is a section of armour that is meant to protect the vital organs and covers the heart. Therefore the breastplate of faith protects you heart! A helmet protects your head or your mind. Paul is tacitly conveying that hope protects your mind! Hope keeps your soul from succumbing to depression!
But hope has to be converted into faith and that faith needs to be translocated into your heart! When faith, emanating from the gravity well of your heart, becomes a voice – you shall indeed have whatsoever you say!
This is the secret that many of us are missing! Great men and women of God knew it and lived it. Those of the stature of Smith Wigglesworth, Maria Woodworth-Etter, Jack Coe, John G. Lake, Kathryn Kuhlman, William J. Seymour, Aimee Semple McPherson, F.F. Bosworth, A.A Allen, and indeed a plethora of names of ordinary folk with faith in an extraordinary God!
I believe that we are in that time now when our names will be spoken of in a generation to come! Unless your faith emanates from your heart it remains hope in the soul.
Wouldn’t it be life changing if you could discover the secret to converting hope into faith, and translocating that faith to the sacred space called the Temple of God from where all power flows?
Converting Hope into Faith
The Prophet Jeremiah writes “Blessed is the man who trusts [has faith] in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.” We need both faith and hope!
The original Warrior-Poet, the sweet Psalmist of Israel, King David, knew all about hope. But he also knew that unless he trusted in the Lord his hope was futile!
It is thought that David wrote Psalm 130 when under intense persecution from the old king Saul who wanted to kill him. In it he writes this amazing insight revealing the rightful place of hope and how hope becomes faith!
“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits [hopes], And in His word I do hope.”
In His word! Your hope, which means “a future expectation of an anticipated favourable outcome” must be anchored in the what the Word of God says -because we receive Faith through hearing the Word of God!
Romans 10:17 (NKJV) “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.“
David was literally revealing the secret of translating hope into faith! You can have the desire or expectation of a favourable future outcome in your mind, but only as you tune into the frequency of the Word of God does that very same intangible hope takes on the substance of faith!
Thereafter, it’s a matter of relocating or rather translocating that faith from your head into your heart. It can never just be sanguine affirmation. Or mind power. Or a state of positivity. The world practices such. The Believer exercises faith of the heart because our faith is in the God of Heaven and Earth.
So how do you translocate faith? Well I would end up writing a book not a journal entry if I continued here. But the good news is that we have a brand new teaching video that reveals the secret! Check it out on our YouTube channel.
How do you know if you have faith of the heart? Remember – faith without deed is dormant. Faith always has an action component. If you’re not acting – it’s not faith! So as you receive the revelation, God will challenge you so as to provoke a response from you! And then you will come to know – Faith of the Heart.
Say to the mountain move!
